Your Complete Guide To Jefferson Day
Use this to make a plan so you get to see everything the day has to offer.

The 26th annual Jefferson Day celebration is Saturday! Thereβs so much to do, and we want you to make the most of your day, so here is a complete guide to everything thatβs happening with locations and times. Use Patch to plan your Jefferson Day schedule, and donβt miss a thing!
11 a.m.: Parade along Weldon Road, starting at the Municipal Building and ending at the high school. The grand marshals will be last yearβs Citizens of the Year, Rose Jackameit and Tom McCarthy. Town crier Bill Joseph will be followed by convertibles transporting township dignitaries. Donβt forget to watch for Bully, Jeffersonβs cutest pet. Youβll also see a variety of township scouts, clubs and civic groups.
11 a.m.: As part of the parade, children and adults are invited to decorate bikes and ride them in the parade. Prizes will be awarded for most creative, funniest and best appearing.

12 p.m.: Food vendors, along with merchandise vendors and informational booths will be open for you to visit. Donβt forget to stop by at Jefferson Patchβs table, sign up for our newsletter and grab some Patch swag!
12 β 3 p.m.: Childrenβs Games of Skill β These will be held on the high school field and are designed for children from preschool β fifth grade.

1 β 3 p.m.: Childrenβs Fishing Contest β Children up to age 15 can bring their own bait and fishing equipment and try to earn prizes for the first, second and third largest fish. The contest will be held at the Weldon Road Fishing Education Pond.
1 β 4 p.m.: Juggler Bill Ceddia under the tent
2 β 5 p.m.: Jinx the Clown under the tent
2 β 7 p.m.: Gaming Tent β This is a self-contained video game 4D lounge that seats up to 16 gamers at a time.
2 p.m.: Irish Road Bowling β teams consisting of four bowlers must complete a course along about a one-mile stretch of road. The team who completes the course with the lowest score wins. Teams must preregister; admission if $10 per team.
2:40 p.m.: Hot Dog Eating Contest on the main stage. How many hot dogs can you eat in 10 minutes? Pre-registration is required at $5.
2:55 p.m.: Watermelon Eating Contest β main stage. How fast can you eat a watermelon wedge? Pre-registration is required at $5.
4 β 7 p.m.: Phydeauxβs Flying Flea Circus and Wahoo Medicine Show, roaming on the field.
7:30 p.m.: Phil βN the Void Concert β Classic and pop rock for your listening and dancing pleasure. Admission for this show and the fireworks display is $2 per adult, $1 per child.
8:20 p.m.: During the intermission of the concert, Jefferson Township Mayor Russell Felter will announce the 2012 Citizens of the Year.
9:30 p.m.: Fireworks Display β Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
