Family-Oriented Jersey City Café To Hold Grand Opening
A new café in Jersey City will host teen and family events and more after its grand opening this month.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Falen Bauciquot — the owner of the new Café Littles in Jersey City — wants to focus on more than just coffee and pastries after the venue's grand opening celebration next weekend.
"The heart behind Café Littles is to serve as a true community hub for all ages," she told Patch. "Our goal is to create a welcoming space where conversation, connection, and creativity come together."
The eatery, at 80 Mallory Ave. — on Jersey City's growing West Side — is meant to be "a space where both adults and children feel equally at home," she said.

Besides an all-day menu of "classic comfort bites" like cheese sandwiches and Mickey Mouse rainbow waffles, the cafe offers daily board games and other family-friendly activities.
The West Side, across town from the bustling waterfront, has been growing with new restaurants and development.

The café, which soft opened late last year, has been testing out a variety of events in advance of the opening celebration, including a karaoke activity for the rarely served teen demographic.
"We're continuing to open our doors to many more events that bring neighbors together across generations," Bauciquot noted. "Every cup of coffee, every conversation, and every event is an opportunity to build community and create meaningful connections."
The cafe is part of a trend in family-friendly coffee shops. Several other cafes in Jersey City, such as Call Me Mia and The Hive, offer a play area for kids.
Grand opening festivities are scheduled for Jan. 24, beginning with a ribbon cutting by new Councilman Joel Brooks.
The celebration, from 1-4 p.m., will include an exhibition of 20 local artists, who will be on hand from 10-3.
