Mall manager reported the phone call, provided caller I.D. number

A report of a man wearing a bomb vest in the Lacey Mall turned out to be a prank by a 10-year-old boy, Lacey Detective Lieutenant Chris Cornelius said.
The manager of the Lacey Mall called police at 4:54 p.m. on Jan. 24 to report he had just received a call warning that a man with a bomb vest was in the mall, Cornelius said.
The mall manager provided police with the caller I.D. number that popped up on his phone. The manager told police the caller sounded young and was trying to disguise his voice, he said.
