Emaciated Dog Found Tied To A Tree In Remote Lacey Woods
The rope around the pup's neck was tied so tightly around the tree it had to be cut off
Sometimes there are no words for stories as sad as this one.
Someone without a heart took a dog to the woods in Lacey Township, tied him to a tree tightly, so tightly so he would not be able to move, and left him without food or water.
"Thankfully, he was found when he was because he would not have survived much longer and would have been defenseless being attacked from other animals," according to a Facebook post on A-Academy Animal Control Lost And Found Pets Ocean County NJ.

The dog was found by a man around 2 p.m. on Saturday. He heard a noise and went to see what it was.
"No food or water dishes were found, so it appears someone tied this dog up to die," according to the post.

The NJ SPCA and the Lacey Township police department are looking for anyone who may know the dog or have any information about the owners and how the dog ended up where he did.
