Lacey Pedestrian Taken To Jersey Shore After Being Struck By Vehicle
Accident shut down section of Route 9 for two hours.

A Lanoka Harbor man was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Route 9 and Lakeside Drive South, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Gabriel Vasquez-Valencia, 42, was attempting to cross from the northbound side of the intersection when the accident occurred at 7:23 p.m., the police report said.
Nancy Gorczyca, 64, Little Egg Harbor, was heading south at the intersection when the 2014 Toyota Venza she was driving hit Vasquez-Valencia, the chief said.

The accident is under investigation by the Lacey Township police Accident Investigation Unit, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and the Ocean County Crime Scene Unit.
Route 9 was shut down between Lakeside Drive South and Taylor Lane was closed for two hours.
