Lacey Police Charge Forked River Man Found Slumped Over Steering Wheel With Drunk Driving

Incident happened at Wawa in Lanoka Harbor

Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River man they found slumped over the steering wheel in the Wawa parking and charged him with driving under the influence, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Michael Verwey responded to the convenience store at 9:25 p.m. on Jan. 13, 2017 after receiving the report. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, Robert M. Donahue, 24, Crestwood Drive, Forked River, the chief said.

Donahue was taken to police headquarters and released after receiving summonses for DUI, reckless driving, failure to exhibit registration and failure to exhibit proof of insurance. His vehicle was impounded pursuant to John's Law.
