Lacey Police Seize 494 Bags Of Heroin From Tampa Road Home: Chief

Steven Carrington Jr. is in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Lacey detectives and the Ocean County SWAT team seized 494 bags of heroin from a Tampa Road home with a street value of $4,000 on Wednesday night, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

The search warrant was executed at 1006 Tampa Road, after an ongoing narcotics investigation targeting heroin distribution from the home.

Authorities arrested Steven Carrington Jr., 30, after they located the heroin. He was charged with possession of heroin and intent to distribute heroin. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $250,000 bail, the chief said.

Also arrested was Carrington's live-in girlfriend, Julie Patterson, 26. She was charged with possession of heroin and was released on her own recognizance pending a court appearance, DiBella said.

The initial search of residence was conducted by K-9 units from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and the Stafford Township police department.
