Lacey's Bobby Frandsen Will Be Hard To Replace
Longtime resident and volunteer extraordinaire died in South Carolina at 64. Services are slated for Friday and Saturday in Lacey.

Robert "Bobby" Fransden had a resume and a history of service to Lacey Township that will probably never be matched.
Fransden - a lifelong Forked River resident and emergency services volunteer - died at 64 in his home on Feb. 4 in his home in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He had recently moved there with his wife Marlene, a Lacey police dispatcher for 28 years, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Bobby dedicated his life to various emergency services in Ocean County, the chief said.

"On behalf of the members of the Lacey Township Police Department and all of the Emergency Services organizations, I want to thank Robert "Bobby" Frandsen, and his family, for his lifelong commitment and dedication to the citizens of Lacey Township," DiBella said.
Bobby was a life member of the Forked River Fire Department, the Lacey Township First Aid Squad and the Lanoka Harbor EMS. In addition, Bobby served as an Ocean County EMS Coordinator (Car 23) and was also a volunteer member of the Lacey Township Underwater Rescue and Recovery.

He was also an assistant fire warden for the New Jersey State Forest Fire Service and worked as a special police officer for the Lacey police department in the lat 1970s.
Bobby was a past president with the Ocean County EMS Captains Association, a past president and southern Mobilization Coordinator for the New Jersey State First Aid Council. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Elks.
Bobby's family described him as a true gentlemen, who was dedicated to his family and friends. He would always share a smile and a joke with you when he saw you. He enjoyed spending time at the beach or golf course with his wife.
Services will be held at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Main Street (Route 9) in Forked River, NJ. The viewing will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, with a fireman's service at 8:45 p.m. Another viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Bobby will be buried in Good Luck Cemetery, Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor.
