A Toms River woman was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Saturday night when a Jeep Cherokee she was riding in rolled over in the sugar sand off Jones Road in Lacey Township, police said.

Tiffany Killmer, 39, was a passenger in the SUV, which left the crash site after the accident on the east side of Route 539, about on half mile into the woods. She was released after several hours, after treatment for neck pain.

The accident happened at 10:06 p.m. The driver, Louis Genitempo, 40, South Toms River, was heading north on the roadway when he lost control of the Jeep when the tires went off track into the sand, causing it to roll over.
