Woman Flags Down Lacey Police, Gets Arrested For Drunk Driving
Her passenger is facing drug charges.

Lacey police recently charged a Barnegat woman for drunk driving after she flagged down an officer then pulled into a parking lot on Route 9 in Forked River, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Officer Brian Holt was on patrol at 6:31 pm. on May 6 when he was waved down by a female driver who pulled into the parking lot of 213 Route 9 North in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, Lisa L. Aguayo, 46, Brighton Road, Barnegat for drunk driving. The passenger, Michael J. Wiston, 47, Southwind Drive, Waretown, was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, the chief said.
Both were taken to police headquarters. Aguayo was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving with an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and refusal to submit breath samples.

The vehicle she was driving was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Wiston was released after receiving a criminal summons for possession of marijuana of 50 grams or less.
