Oceanport's Birdsmouth Brewery Hosts Autism Fundraiser Saturday

OCEANPORT, NJ — Birdsmouth Beer — the new craft brewery at Fort Monmouth that just opened in October — will have a fundraiser this weekend to help raise money for autism studies.

This will be the sixth annual Brewing Awareness for Autism, held Saturday, April 29 at 6 p.m. at Birdsmouth Beer in Oceanport.

The fundraiser is run by The Autism MVP Foundation, an all-volunteer group of local parents run by Keith Green, a Little Silver resident.

All proceeds from this and the foundation's other events go to scholarship programs that fund the study of autism: The Autism MVP Foundation funds graduate students who are getting their degrees in autism research/applied behavior analysis at Monmouth University, Rutgers University and Temple University.

Tickets are available via Eventbrite and can be purchased in advance for only $60. Tickets include dinner, soft drinks, prizes, live music from The 7th Realm and house beer.

Attendees must be 21 to redeem tickets for or purchase alcohol. There is a kids'/student ticket available for $30. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

The event is sponsored by Circle Hyundai, CentralReach (the #1 provider of ABA behavioral health software and services), the NJABA, Birdsmouth Beer, Data Group Central and Hops for Awareness.

Matt Ryan of 94.3 FM The Point will serve as a co-host at the event.

Since it was founded in 2015, Autism MVP has donated more than $125,000 in annual and endowed scholarships to Monmouth, Rutgers and Temple University students, and fully funded the Autism Program Improvement Project at Monmouth University with an additional $40,000 contribution.
