Burglars Hit Six Livingston Homes; Police Warn Residents to Stay Vigilant
Several homes in Livingston were burglarized last month. Police are warning residents to be wary of suspicious cars on neighborhood streets.

After responding to six burglaries during the month of November, Livingston Police are warning residents to stay vigilant and take note of suspicious vehicles Livingston streets.
“We are asking residents to take notice of any vehicles parked occupied or unoccupied on your streets during daytime hours,” Livingston Police Chief Craig Handschuch stated. “Please take the time and write down the license plate of these vehicles. If you feel the vehicle is suspicious in any way, please call us and we will check it out. With your help hopefully we will catch the suspects.”
The burglaries occurred within a single mile radius on the following Livingston streets:

Following the Police Department’s warning, Stephen D., a concerned citizen, called on Livingston Police to provide additional information on how the Police Department plans to prevent future burglaries. Livingston Police issued the following response to the citizen’s request.
“Please assist us by taking note of any cars parked in your neighborhood. Just write down the license plates - if there are any further burglaries the plates may be helpful,” Livingston Police said. “If you feel the car is suspicious in any way feel free to call us to check it out. As for what we are doing about it, we have beefed up patrols in those areas daily. Our detective bureau is also actively investigating all of the burglaries.”
In response to citizen requests, the Department is considering holding a meeting for local residents to discuss the burglaries and safety precautions.
