How To Register To Vote In Livingston: 2025 Election Reminders
Planning to vote in New Jersey's general election on Nov. 4? Here's how to get yourself registered in Livingston.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Township of Livingston. Find out how to post announcements or events to your local Patch site.
The Township of Livingston’s Clerk’s Office reminds residents that Tuesday, Oct. 14 is the last day to register to vote in the 2025 general election on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Voters can register online at vote.nj.gov with one of the following two methods:

- Current and Valid Driver’s License or a Non-Driver Identification Card (ID card) issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) - Your information will be provided to the MVC to validate identification, and to retrieve a copy of your digitized signature.
- Social Security Number - To use your social security number, you must have the ability to sign on-screen or upload your signature to complete the registration process. If you are unable to provide a digital signature, you cannot register online.
Alternately, registration application forms are available online at nj.gov/state/elections/voter-registration.shtml or at the Township of Livingston’s Clerk’s Office located on the first floor of Livingston Town Hall, 357 South Livingston Avenue, during regular business hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
In addition, the Township's Clerk’s Office will be open until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14 to accept voter registration forms. This is the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 4, 2025 General Election.

To register in New Jersey, you must be:
- A United States citizen
- At least 17 years old, although you may not vote until you have reached the age of 18
- A resident of the county for 30 days before the election
- A person not serving a sentence of incarceration as the result of a conviction of any indictable offense under the laws of this or another state or of the United States.
