LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Arts Council of Livingston and Livingston Township recently held an evening of “Eastern cultural entertainment” at the Oval.

The arts council thanked Councilman Michael Vieira and Assistant Township Manager Adam Loehner for supporting the free event, which included traditional Indian and Chinese music and dance, food and art displays. Other key participants included Livingston Councilman Ketan Bhuptani, and Harsh Raju.

The council also thanked the volunteer organizers and stage managers of each group that graced the stage at the Oval for their “invaluable assistance with this project.” Among those volunteers directly involved in coordinating and organizing this event were: Fang Gong, Falguni Pandya, Xiaoshan He, Srinivas Salandra, Jane Wang and Andrew Munns.

Another collaboration between the township and the arts council took place on June 25, when the Livingston Symphony Orchestra performed at Heritage Middle School.
