Livingston Synagogue to Host Sen. Robert Menendez Friday

Temple B'nai Abraham speech at 7:15 will focus on Israel, the Middle East and Iran Threat

U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) will be the guest speaker at Temple B’nai Abraham this Friday, March 2 at 7:15 p.m. following Kabbalat Shabbat services at 6:30 p.m.

Menendez will speak on the U.S.-Israel relationship, the Middle East neighborhood and the threat of Iran.

He has been a strong supporter of the State of Israel during his many years of public service and has consistently voiced his concerns for the security of that country as critical for peace in the Middle East.

Understanding the threat a nuclear weapons-capable Iran poses to the Jewish State as well as to the rest of the world, Menendez has championed strong sanctions to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, including sanctions signed into law in December 2011 on financial institutions that do business with the Central Bank of Iran.

He has been a strong supporter of Holocaust education in New Jersey communities and in ensuring anti-Semitic and other hate crimes are dealt with toughly by federal law enforcement.

Temple B’nai Abraham is located at 300 E. Northfield Road, Livingston.
