Local Justice: Decisions in Municipal Court
Livingston municipal court handles five cases.

In State v. Ivan Strande of Livingston, the state charged Strande with driving while intoxicated ("DWI"), failure to present the vehicle's registration, and careless driving. Defendant pled guilty to the DWI offense and the other two charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement. The court revoked Strande's license for two years, required his participation for 2 days at a New Jersey Intoxicated Driver Resource Center Program, and imposed 30 days of community service. The court also imposed a $506 fine, a $200 DWI surcharge, $33 in court costs, a $50 VCCO penalty and a $75 safe neighborhood fee.
In State v. David Coleman of Livingston, the state charged Coleman with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. There was a conditional discharge. The court imposed 1 year probation, and a $500 DEDR (Drug Enforcement and Demand Reduction) fee, $33 in court costs, a $50 VCCO penalty, a $75 safe neighborhood fee, a $50 lab fee, a $50 DARE fine, and a $75 conditional discharge fee.
In State v. Eileen Gray of Verona, the state charged Gray with shoplifting $45 worth of clothing from Victoria Secret. Parker pled guilty to the charge. The court sentenced her to 10 days of community service and imposed a $200 fine, $30 in court costs, a $50 VCCO penalty and a $75 safe neighborhood fee.

In State v. Bynisha McMillion of East Orange, the state charged her with receiving stolen property (clothing valued at $104) from Hollisters. Gray pled guilty to the charge. The court imposed a $300 fine, $33 in court costs, a $50 VCCO penalty and a $75 safe neighborhood fee.
In State v. Ludin Pierre of Somerset, the state (through the Essex Regional Health Department) charged him with not registering a boiler with the health commissioner. He pled guilty to the charge. The court imposed a $1,000 fine and $30 in court costs.

In State v. Sofio Chumburidze of Madison, the state charged her with shoplifting jewelry, clothing and a handbag worth $114 from Sears. Chumburidze pled guilty to the charge. The court sentenced her to 10 days of community service, and imposed a $400 fine, $33 in court costs, a $50 VCCO penalty and a $75 safe neighborhood fee.
