Livingston man pleads guilty to sending police on false alarm.
A Livingston man who sent police on a false alarm when he called 911 to report an intruder in his home in April has pleaded guilty to creating a disturbance on private property in Livingston Municipal Court.
In State v. Rodney Lovius of Maplewood and State v. Dion Adams also of Maplewood, the State charged both of them with shoplifting clothes valued at $178 from Lord & Taylor: a pair of blue jeans values at $109 and a shirt valued at $69. Defendant Lovius pled guilty and admitted that he acted alone. The charges against Adams were dismissed. The Court sentenced Lovius to 10 days of community service, and imposed a $400 fine, $33 in court costs, a $50 VCCO penalty and a $75 safe neighborhood fee.
In State v. Jeree Webster of Stroudsburg, Pa., the State charged defendant Webster with shoplifting a $17.50 tank top from American Eagle. Webster pled guilty to the charge. The Court sentenced Webster to 10 days of community service, and imposed a $300 fine, $33 in court costs, a $50 VCCO penalty and a $75 safe neighborhood fee.
