Mail Stolen From USPS Truck In Livingston, Police Say
Another Essex County town has reported a theft from a mail truck. Here's the latest.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Someone stole a bunch of mail from a U.S. Post Office truck in Livingston on Friday, police say.
According to the Livingston Police Department, officers responded to Bennington Road at 12:40 p.m. after getting a report about a theft. A mail carrier told officers that someone stole a tray of mail from his truck.
Video surveillance from a nearby home shows what appears to be a silver sedan parked behind the mail truck. The driver of the sedan can be seen approaching the truck and opening the rear doors, police said.

A police investigation continues, authorities said Monday.
Livingston isn’t the only town in Essex County that has seen such a theft. Over the past two years, at least six U.S. Post Office trucks have reported mail thefts in Montclair, with the latest incident taking place last week.
