More mosquito spraying will take place in Livingston this week.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — More mosquito spraying will take place in Livingston this week.
According to a municipal advisory, Essex County will be spraying for mosquitos by truck in Livingston on Monday, Aug. 26 and Wednesday, Aug. 28. The spraying will take place from 2 to 7 a.m. in the areas of East Orange Golf Course, Polaris Treatment, Dorsa Avenue, Dickinson Lane, Passaic Avenue, Regency Club, and CIT.

Mosquito spraying also took place along the Passaic River in Essex County earlier this month, including Fairfield, West Caldwell, Roseland, Millburn and Livingston. That round of spraying was done via helicopter.

Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo Jr. reported earlier this week that public works crews have been out in the swampy areas of West Essex, working to keep water flowing and removing snags in the waterway – and helping to control the mosquito population.
