New Jersey has been hit with inches of “plowable snow,” heavy rain, and strong winds as a Thanksgiving Nor’easter, named Cato blows into town.

The snowstorm could last until 1 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, with between 4 and 9 inches falling in this area. By 1 p.m., at least 1 inch had fallen in Livingston. More snow is expected to fall this evening.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey reported today that Newark Liberty International Airport air carriers were waiving fees to people impacted by the weather, suggesting that travelers contact their carriers for information.
