Tuesday Deadline for Volunteer Readers at Horizon School

Tuesday is the deadline for volunteers for Friday’s Read Across America Day at Livingston’s Horizon School.

Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey is looking for volunteers willing to read one-on-one to a student with disabilities this Friday.

Read Across America Day is a national event designed to encourage reading among children.

The volunteers will receive some background on Horizon School and the students, and then they will read with a student for 30 minutes.
 
Volunteers are being asked to bring co-workers and friends along for the event, as well as Spanish-speaking readers.

The school will not allow walk-ins for the event. Volunteers are encouraged to contact volunteer coordinator Corry DeMarco at (973) 763-9900, ext. 1626 or cdemarco@cpnj.org by the Tuesday deadline.
