Another Sunny Day At Monmouth County Beaches, But Watch For Rips

Surf is still rough, with a moderate risk of rip currents, National Weather Service says.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ - If you're planning on going to a Monmouth County beach today, you've got a beautiful day ahead of you.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies, with highs only in the upper 70s. There's no rain in sight, so there's no lightning threat. Winds will be from the east at 15 miles per hour.

The rip current risk for today is moderate. Be sure to check with your local beach patrol about any problem areas. And remember that rips can always occur, especially near jetties and other structures. There have already been several ocean deaths this summer. Don't be a statistic.
