Longtime Two River Times Journalist Laura Kolnoski Honored At Her Retirement

In 2021, Kolnoski​ was the first journalist to exclusively break the news that Netflix intended to purchase 300 acres at Fort Monmouth.

FREEHOLD, NJ — The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners recognized longtime Two River Times journalist Laura Kolnoski on Dec. 11, as she announced her retirement from the newspaper.

Kolnoski was presented with a certificate of recognition by Commissioner Director Thomas Arnone on behalf of the Board.

Kolnoski started her career at the Two River Times and moved on to other positions, including editorial director of Industry Magazine, before returning to the Two River Times. In 2021, Kolnoski was the first journalist to exclusively break the news that Netflix intended to purchase 300 acres for its new production studios at Fort Monmouth.

“Laura has enjoyed a long and distinguished 47-year career as a local journalist, marked by a deep commitment to keeping the community informed about issues and events that shape the local area,” Commissioner Director Arnone said Dec. 11. “My fellow Commissioners and I commend Laura for her many years of service to the community and wish her a happy and well-deserved retirement.”
