Police say a 20-year-old Asbury Park man broke into a Deal home early Sunday and then set it on fire, burning the home to the ground.
DEAL, NJ — Police say a 20-year-old Asbury Park man broke into a home in Deal early Sunday morning, and then set fire to the home, burning it to the ground.
Nasyr-Alaire D. Fisher, 20, of Asbury Park, was arrested by police shortly after the fire started, and charged with arson, burglary and other charges, including assaulting a police officer.
Police say Fisher broke into the home on Lady Bess Drive at approximately 6:31 a.m. Sunday; he started the fire inside the home. It was a Deal Police officer passing by on patrol who first noticed the home was on fire, so the home may have been unoccupied at the time.
