Asbury Park Woman, 70, Identified As Person Fatally Hit On Rt. 66

The woman hit and killed Tuesday night​ while walking along Hwy. 66 in Neptune Township is Bridget Mobley, 70, Asbury Park.​

NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, NJ — The woman hit and killed Tuesday night while walking along Hwy. 66 in Neptune Township was identified as Bridget Mobley, 70, Asbury Park.

She and a man were both struck at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday, while they were walking along Rt. 66. They were hit by a 2021 Ford Transit van, traveling west on Hwy. 66, which remained at the scene.

The woman died at a nearby hospital at 8:15 p.m. The man was taken to the same hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.
