A Calm, Sunny Day Ahead At Monmouth County Beaches
There's a low risk of rip currents, ocean water temperatures are still cool

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ - There's a beautiful day ahead if you're heading to Monmouth County beaches.
The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies, with highs in the lower 70s. No rain in sight.
There's a low risk of rip currents. But remember that rips can always occur, especially near jetties and other structures. Few beaches are guarded on weekdays or weekends this early in the season.

Don't be tempted to swim on an unguarded beach. Several people did earlier this week at Island Beach State Park and had to be saved. Never swim alone or at night.
The ocean water temperature is a chilly 58 degrees. Waves will be around 2 feet, with light swells. Winds will be from the northwest at 10 miles per hour, switching to the northeast in the afternoon.

High tide at Belmar arrived at 9:14 a.m. Low tide will roll in at 3:12 p.m., followed by another high tide at 9:27 p.m.
