Cause Of Death Of Two Long Branch Men Still Unknown

The two deceased men were found in an Ocean Boulevard home in mid-June

LONG BRANCH, NJ - Authorities are waiting for the results of toxicology tests to determine how two men found in an Ocean Boulevard home back in mid-June died, a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

Gerald Scarano, 63, and Harold Kelly, 48, were both found dead inside the home they shared on 336 Ocean Boulevard in Long Branch, said spokesman Christopher Swendeman .

Officers responded to a call for service that night to check the well-being of a person at the home. They discovered the two deceased men.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni and Long Branch Police Department Chief Jason Roebuck said then they consider the deaths an "isolated incident" and said that there is no threat to the public. The two people knew each other, they said.
