A Cloudy Day With Possible Showers For Monmouth Beaches
The rip current risk is still moderate, so be careful

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ - It may be sunny at Monmouth County beaches now, but that will change by 2 p.m., when clouds move in.
There's also a chance of showers. Highs will be around 80 degrees, the National Weather Service says. There is no lightning threat. Winds will be light and variable, becoming southeast around 10 miles per hour in the afternoon.
There's still a moderate risk of rip currents. Check with your local beach patrol before heading into the water. Never, ever swim on an unguarded beach and never swim alone or at night. Too many people have drowned or had to be rescued this summer. Don't add your name to the list.

The ultraviolet index is a 5, which the NWS considers moderate. But bring your sunscreen anyway, because you can still burn.
High tide at Belmar arrived at 9:43 a.m. Low tide will roll in at 3:40 p.m., followed by another high tide at 9:51 p.m.
