Concerts, Meetings Highlight Busy Week in Long Branch-Eatontown Area

By Christopher Sheldon

There will be no shortage of news in the Long Branch-Eatontown area this week as several municipal meetings and area concerts are scheduled.

The Long Branch Council will meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and there is one particularly interesting item on the agenda, which can be viewed here.

A developer is looking to build a beer garden/art gallery/event area to Second Avenue in the Broadway Gateway redevelopment zone. The council and city zoning or planning board would have to approve the plan because of its location. The developer will present the plans during the workshop portion of the meeting at 6 p.m.

The Long Branch Zoning Board, Long Branch Board of Education and Eatontown Council will also meet this week. We will be there to cover most of the meetings and provide with the most important news.

The Long Branch Summer Concert Series will also continue this week. The full schedule can be seen here.

We'll also have more business stories, an update on the city's progress with FEMA and its boardwalk, and the latest police and fire stories as soon as they happen.

Is there something you want us to check out this week? If so, tell us in the comments below.
