Eatontown Farmers' Market Returns Sunday

Farmers' market began last summer in borough

After a successful first year in the borough, the Eatontown Farmers' Market will be returning this weekend.

The farmers' market will be held in Wampum Park on Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The market is again sponsored by the Eatontown Green Team, under the direction of Market Manager Pamela Caputo.

"Last year, the market provided a beautiful venue for the community to meet and connect," Caputo said. "Relationships developed over vegetables and bread."

All of last year's vendors will be returning this summer.

Some of the foods that will be on sale include Amish freshly-grilled organice, grass-fed meats and hot dogs. Fresh-baked breads, fruits, vegetables, gourmet nuts, ravioli, crab cakes, plants, flowers, and even organic dog treats will also be available.

Free parking is provided in the three municipal lots on Throckmorton, Broad and Lewis Streets. Short-term parking spaces will be available on West Street for drop-off and pick-up only.

The market will run every Sunday through November, Caputo said.
