Election Primer: Who Is Running In Eatontown & Long Branch
With Election Day coming up in a little over a month, these are the men and women running for election in Eatontown and Long Branch.

LONG BRANCH-EATONTOWN, NJ – With a little over a month until Election Day, candidates all over the state and country are kicking their campaigns into high gear, trying to secure all of the votes that they can.
In Eatontown, six candidates are running for two seats on the borough council. The Republican candidates are David Gindi and Everett D. Lucas, Mariel Hufnagel, and Coleen Burnett are running on the Democratic ticket, while current Councilwoman Jasmine Story and Dee Slattery are running on an independent ticket.
For the Eatontown Board of Education, there are three openings up for grabs, with four candidates vying for the positions. The only incumbent running is Maysee Y. Jacobs, with the other candidates being Jacquline Maguire, Deidre Seaman, and Jennifer Kopach.

Anthony Gaetano is running unopposed for his seat on the Monmouth Regional Board of Education, representing Eatontown.
Long Branch does not have a municipal election this year but has a contested Board of Education election, with four candidates vying for three seats on the board.

Two current board members are running, Caroline Bennett and Violeta Peters are running on a ticket with former superintendent Joseph Ferraina. The other candidate is Maria Teresa Benosky.
