Former Long Branch Superintendent Back In Hunt For School Board
Former superintendent of schools Joesph Ferraina is running again after an unsuccessful bid last year.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Former Long Branch superintendent of school Joseph Ferraina, who previously ran unsuccessfully for the Long Branch Board of Education, is one of the four candidates who filed to run for the three seats up for election this November, according to the Monmouth County Clerk's office.
Maria Teresa Benosky and two incumbents, Caroline Bennett and Violeta Peters, who are running under the slogan “Building The Future,” all put in petitions to run in the school election against the former superintendent, who retired in 2011 amidst allegations of sexual abuse, which was settled in 2014.
The general election will take place on Nov. 2.
