High Rip Current Risk, Rough Surf Today At Monmouth Beaches

Waves will be between 8 to 9 feet today, with more rain on the way

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ - Forget about ocean swimming today.

The rip current risk at Monmouth County beaches remains high, as it has been over the last several days. That means dangerous and life threatening conditions exist for anyone who goes in the water.

"People visiting the beaches should stay out of the high surf," the National Weather Service says.
