LONG BRANCH, NJ – Mayor John Pallone and the Long Branch City Council recently announced that the city received three grants that will help benefit the city’s sustainability and workforce and earn the city additional Sustainable Jersey (SJ) certification points.

The city’s community-led Green Team received a $20,000 Sustainable Jersey grant. The grant is in partnership with PSEG and will be used for an updated Environmental Resource Inventory (ERI), which gives all 30,000 residents a goal to preserve existing natural areas and ensure that ongoing development is conducted to prevent future environmental concerns.

The city also received a matching grant evaluation, planning, and implementation of projects that will improve municipal facilities' energy performance in partnership with JCP&L.
