Long Branch Asked To Approve West End Apartment Complex

There is currently a building there that the developer plans to tear down, and in its place build 26 two-bedroom units.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — On April 12, the Long Branch Planning Board will be asked to approve this new apartment building in the city's West End.

This is an apartment building planned for 6 West End Court, according to Nicholas Graviano, the director of building and development for the city of Long Branch.

There is currently a building there that the developer plans to tear down, and in its place build 26 two-bedroom units. Graviano said the developer has not yet said if the two-bedroom apartments would be for rent or sale.

And for those who are history buffs, or Bruce Springsteen fans, this proposed new complex is located just two doors down from the tiny shotgun shack Springsteen rented in Long Branch in the mid-1970s.

That's where he wrote the iconic "Born to Run" album, according to the Asbury Park Press. That small blue bungalow is located at 7½ West End Court.
