3 Men Indicted For Murder In Fatal Shooting Of Long Branch Teen, 18
The fatal shooting happened March 16 in the vicinity of John R. Lewis Commons, part of the Long Branch Housing Authority.
LONG BRANCH, NJ — Three men were indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury for a fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Long Branch man earlier this year, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced Tuesday.
Aiden Terlecki, 19, of Middletown, Joshua Moore, 21, of Neptune Township and Jahsaad Banks, 19, of Asbury Park, were each charged with one count each of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, hindering their own apprehension and weapons offenses.
Terlecki was also charged with one count of second-degree drug possession, with intent to distribute. Police did not specify the type of alleged drugs.

The fatal shooting happened at 12:34 p.m. March 16 in the vicinity of the John R. Lewis Commons, a mixed-income housing development that is part of the Long Branch Housing Authority. Upon arrival, officers discovered an 18-year-old man, later identified as Tristan Reeves, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The teenage boy worked as a waiter in the dining room at Seabrook Senior Living Community in Tinton Falls.
"Tristan's life was stripped from him at only 18 years old depriving him and those close to him of many years," his grieving family wrote on the GoFund Me. "Tristan was a loving son, brother,grandson, cousin and friend."
Terlecki was located and apprehended in New York City October 9 by members of the Port Authority Police Department. Moore was apprehended in Neptune Township on Oct. 2 without incident. And Banks was already detained at the Monmouth County jail on a prior arrest.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutors Matthew Bogner, Director of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau, and Christopher Dize of the prosecutor's trial division.
