Long Branch-Based Non-Profit Receives Continuing Education Grant
The grant from the Kessler Foundation will help members of the Shore House receive continuing education.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Shore House, a Long Branch-based non-profit, was awarded a Kessler Foundation Community Employment Grant, which will help the 60-80 percent unemployment rate among people living with mental illness.
This grant gave Shore House the ability to partner with Brookdale Community College to create a custom workshop certificate program for adults living with a mental illness.
“This grant allows us to provide our members with the skills they need and want to continue to enjoy successful, happy lives,” Rich Ambrosino, Executive Director of the Shore House, said in a statement.

Students participating in the program recently took a tour of Brookdale’s campus and learned about the computer and entrepreneurship courses available to them.
“By providing professional training that leads to meaningful employment, the Shore House-Brookdale program epitomizes the Kessler Foundation’s mission,” Elaine Katz, Senior Vice President Grants & Communications for the Kessler Foundation, said in a statement.
