Long Branch Football Standout Selects a College

Long Branch High School senior Joscil Jackson signed his letter of intent to play football at the University of New Haven on Thursday, April 18.

As a four year letter winner on the Green Wave football team, Joscil rushed for 1,092 yards, had 132 tackles, eight tackles for loss, scored nine touchdowns, had four interceptions and forced five fumbles.

Jackson has earned the following awards and honors:

*First Team Group III All-State (2012-2013)

*First Team All-Shore (2012-2013)

*First Team All-Division (B North)

All Shore Media “Defensive Player of the Year” (2012-2013)

*Two Time “Frank Tomaini Award” winner for Leadership and Sportsmanship

*Hitman Award for the most tackles on the team
