Monmouth DWI Task Force To Have Checkpoint In Avon
Officers will be on duty from 10 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. on Saturday on Route 71

AVON, NJ - You've been warned.
The Monmouth County DWI Task force will conduct a DWI checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs from 10 p.m. on Friday through 2 a.m. on Saturday on Route 71 South, task force coordinator Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer said.
Task force members and Avon Police Department officers will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes onto Garfield Avenue to determine driver’s sobriety, Palmer said.
