Ocean Man Indicted on Charge of Exposing Himself to Children in Middletown
Shareef S. Hughes, 30, was originally arrested on August 23 in Middletown for lewdness.

An Ocean Township man has been indicted on a lewdness charge for an incident that occurred on August 23, 2014 in Middletown Township.
Shareef S. Hughes, 30, was indicted on one count of lewdness, a fourth degree crime, after exposing himself in front of two children under the age of 13, according to Monmouth County court records.
The indictment states that Hughes knew he would be seen by the children when he committed the act. The victims were listed as “T.M.”, age 11, and “P.M.”, age 7.

Hughes was originally arrested by Patrolman Thomas Hughes, and was held on $7,500.00 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
