Ocean Twp. Man Stole From Holmdel Company, Prosecutor Says
Jacob Gindi, 33, of Oakhurst in Ocean Township and Jimmy Dabbah, 34, of Brookyn, were charged with computer theft and other charges.
OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man from the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township was criminally charged alongside a Brooklyn man with scheming to steal nearly $300,000 from a Holmdel company.
The two men created a fake pest control company and used the Holmdel company's software platform to steal credit card information, said Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago.
Jacob Gindi, 33, of Ocean Township and Jimmy Dabbah, 34, of the Gravesend section of Brooklyn were both charged with second-degree Computer Theft, second-degree Conspiracy to Commit Theft, second-degree Theft by Unlawful Taking, and two counts of second degree Financial Facilitation of Criminal Activity.

Starting in May 2023, police say Dabbah opened an account with the Holmdel Company (never named) using a business named Rapid Pest Control, a fake business. Over a span of just 10 days, Rapid Pest Control accessed the company’s software and credit-card payment platform, and then conducted more than 750 fraudulent transactions using the stolen credit card numbers.
It amounted to nearly $296,000 in theft.

The company in Holmdel determined that despite the transactions, Rapid Pest Control never performed any actual pest-control services for any clients.
The majority of the stolen funds were transferred from Rapid Pest Control’s bank account to two companies controlled by Gindi: PCO Marketing Inc. and Infinity Trading Solutions LLC. Gindi used the stolen money to pay off his own credit cards, car and tuition bills, and for other personal expenses.
Both Gindi and Dabbah turned themselves in to authorities earlier this week. Both men were released on their own recognizance pending future proceedings in Monmouth County Superior Court; first appearances for both are tentatively scheduled for 9 a.m. February 27.
Anyone with further information about the activities of these defendants is asked to contact Monmouth County Prosecutor's Detective Michael Acquaviva at 800-533-7443.
