Pallone Swamps Schneider In Long Branch Mayoral Race

John Pallone received 2,908 votes to Schneider's 1,549 votes, brings his entire "Long Branch First" team to Town Hall

LONG BRANCH, NJ - City Councilman John Pallone received almost twice as many votes as longtime Mayor Adam Schneider in the race for the mayoral term in Tuesday's nonpartisan elections, according to the Monmouth County Clerk's Office.

Pallone received 2,908 votes, or 61.62 percent, compared to Schneider, who received 1,549 votes, or 32.82 percent. Candidate Avery Grant received 257 votes, or 5.45 percent.

Pallone's entire team of candidates were also elected to the five seats on the City Council.

Schneider has been mayor since 1990.
