Police ID Woman Found Dead Near Neptune Twp. Retention Pond
The body of an Ocean Twp. woman was found next to a retention pond near a motel and Jumping Brook Country Club, near Jersey Shore Outlets.
NEPTUNE, NJ — The woman found dead next to a snow-covered retention pond Monday afternoon in Neptune Township has been identified as Darlene Hall, 53, of Ocean Township, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's office said Wednesday.
Her cause of death has not been determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
Hall was found at approximately 1:07 p.m. Monday in the area of 230 Jumping Brook Road in Neptune Township. Local police were called there for a 911 call of a person lying in a retention basin located behind the north side of the Residence Inn motel. This is near Jumping Brook golf course and Jersey Shore Premium Outlets.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a deceased adult woman. The woman was described by police as Caucasian, and she was found "lying in the snow in a retention basin, wearing only a shirt and shorts."
