Ronald McDonald House Honored for 25th Anniversary

Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande presents organization with resolution

 

The Ronald McDonald House is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and was honored by Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande on Thursday morning.

Casagrande presented a resolution she drafted to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch & New Brunswick Executive Committee at the organization's Long Branch location on Bath Avenue.

"For 25 years the Ronald McDonald House and its many volunteers and contributors have offered compassion and assistanc to families going though difficult circumstances," Casagrande said. "I commend them for reaching this significant milestone."

“Over the last 25 years, RMH has provided a 'home away from home' for thousands of families of seriously ill children who receive care at medical facilities near the locations in Long Branch and New Brunswick," Ronald McDonald House Board of Trustees Chairman Barry Shapiro said. "From the beginnings of the Long Branch House to the expansion of our second house in New Brunswick, the Family Rooms and a Hospitality Suite in the pediatric units at Monmouth Medical Center, Jersey Shore, CentraState and a mother’s lactation room in Saint Peters University Hospital, RMH has achieved a great deal for our families and the communities RMH serves."
