Sen. Gopal's Civic Association To Host Community Fair On Oct. 16

All proceeds will go to veterans' groups through Monmouth County that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Vin Gopal Civic Association, chaired by State Senator Vin Gopal (D-11), is hosting a Community Fair and Family Day on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Joe Palaia Park in Ocean Township, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The free event will feature live music by Pure McCartney, food, beverage, and craft vendors, along with inflatables and rides, with all proceeds being donated to local veterans’ groups. There will QR codes with a PayPal link will be posted throughout the park to encourage voluntary donations.

“Our local VFWs and American Legions have suffered in their fundraising efforts due to the effects of the Covid-19 shutdown,” Gopal said in a statement.

“We wanted to do something to give back and show our appreciation for the servicemen and servicewomen who have given us so much.”

Any Monmouth County veterans’ groups who the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted are strongly encouraged to apply to be beneficiaries on the organization’s website.
