Someone Falsely Using Code Enforcement Officer's Name, Police Say

If someone calls you claiming to be Jim Miller, don't give him any money

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - Police here are warning residents not to give any personal information to a caller claiming to be Code Enforcement Officer Jim Miller, according to the police department's Facebook page.

"If you receive a solicitation call from someone claiming to be Jim Miller, asking for a monetary donation for the West Long Branch police, please do not give the caller any of your information," the post states. "Someone is falsely using Code Enforcement Officer Miller's name in an attempt to gain personal information," the post states.

The police department is investigating the matter.
