Sunny Skies, Calm Seas Ahead For Monmouth County Beaches
Low rip current risk today, ocean water temperatures still chilly.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ - The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies today with a low chance of rip currents at Monmouth County beaches.
Highs today will hit the lower 80s. Winds will be from the north at 10 mph. There's no rain in sight and no lightning threat.
Waves will be around 2 feet, much calmer than they were over the weekend. Expect southeasterly swells of around 2 feet. The ocean water temperature is still a chilly 66 degrees.

The rip current risk is low today. But rips can still occur near jetties and other structures. Do your homework and find a guarded beach. Never swim alone or an night. Don't be a statistic this summer.
The ultraviolet index is a 9, which the NWS considers very high. So bring the sunscreen if you're planning on working on a tan.

High tide at Belmar arrived at 5:57 a.m. Low tide will roll in at 11:57 a.m., followed by another high tide at 6:23 p.m.
