MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ – Looking for something to do this weekend now that we’re all for a lack of a better word, unquarantined on this Father’s Day weekend? Here’s a list of some events happening throughout Monmouth County this weekend.

Surf Contest in Long Branch
Long Branch Recreation in conjunction with Surfers Environmental Alliance are hosting their third-annual surf contest on June 19 at Brighton Avenue Beach in Long Branch. There are multiple age groups and division and you can register for free at seasurfer.org

Rush Tribute Band To Play At Stone Pony
Fans of ‘70s prog-rock Rush can head over to the Stone Pony on June 19 and check out Rush tribute band Sun Dogs. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online.

Juneteenth Celebration In Neptune and Asbury
Neptune Township’s Black History Committee is holding a Juneteenth Kick-Off Celebration on June 19th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at Midtown Commons Park in Neptune. There will be speakers, poetry and music performances and a youth parade from Neptune to Springwood Park in Asbury Park beginning at 1 p.m.

Father’s Day At The Track
Monmouth Park in Oceanport will have free parking and free admission on Fathers’ Day this Sunday. Bring your dad or grandpa and enjoy a day at the races with two buffet options, a Summertime BBQ buffet in the track’s Picnic Area or a Father’s Day buffet in the Dining Club located on the third floor of the Clubhouse. Tickets for the buffets can be purchased here.

Free Saturday Night Concert Series In Bradley Beach
The Groovesharks are playing at Bradley Beach’s Riley Park as part of the town’s free Saturdays in the Park Concert Series from 7 to 9 p.m.

Makers Market Every Saturday At Kennedy Park In Asbury Park
Kennedy Park in Asbury Park is the host of the weekly Asbury Fresh Saturday Makers Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors of all types will be on hand to show off their wares.
