Toddler In Critical Condition After Being Pulled From NJ Pool: Report

LONG BRANCH, NJ - A toddler is in critical condition after drowning in a Long Branch pool on Wednesday, according to an NJ.com report.

At around 2:15 p.m., police responded to a home in the city and rescued a 3-year-old boy who was found drowning, Long Branch Director of Public Safety William Broughton told the publication.

The child was given CPR and was later transported to Monmouth Medical Center, the outlet reported.

It was not immediately clear if the toddler was supervised at the time of the incident. A request for comment from Broughton and the Long Branch mayor’s office was not immediately returned.
