Toys R Us Store In Eatontown Will Remain Open

The store was on the company's closure list, but has since been removed.

EATONTOWN, NJ - Toys R Us company officials have had a change of heart and decided to keep the Eatontown store open, according to a company list of stores that have been given a reprieve. It's not known if the store will ultimately close, and have a closing sale, now that liquidation has been announced.

The Route 35 Eatontown store was on the Wayne-based company's list of 12 New Jersey stores and their affiliates and out of 180 stores nationwide to close as the company tries to emerge from bankruptcy protection.

None of the other New Jersey stores were on the company's "Saved Store" list on the corporate website.
